  • Warren Harding, 29th U.S. President.
  • George H. W. Bush, 41st U.S. President.
  • Thomas Edison, Inventor. Published the first newspaper ever to be set and printed on a moving train.
  • Thomas J. Foster, founder of American Correspondence Schools.
  • Horace Greeley, Civil War era author ("Go West Young Man") and politician.
  • Edgar Guest, popular early 20th century poet.
  • Joel Chandler Harris, author of "Uncle Remus" books--collections of poems and proverbs.
  • Elbert Hubbard, 19th-20th century writer. Died aboard the Lusitania in 1915.
  • Stanley Marcus, founder of Neiman Marcus department store.
  • Paul Revere, American Revolutionary War patriot. Father of American bank note business; printed Colonial money.
  • John Brown Russworm, first African-American college graduate.
  • Orville & Wilbur Wright, flight pioneers. Published newspapers before going into the bicycle business.
